Extended Essay Topics
Extended Essay TopicsThere are many mathematics topics that can be included in an extended essay. Most of these topics come in the form of a question and answer format and therefore many times they can be more suited to be written in paragraphs rather than as an entire essay. The following are some examples of subjects which could be included in a longer essay:Question and Answer Formats: The idea behind this format is that students are able to ask questions and then students have the opportunity to answer them. For example, if students are writing about a topic such as birthdays then instead of writing an essay they might write a question and answer format and then submit the essay for evaluation.Theoretical subjects: These subjects are an excellent way to use mathematics in a way that is interesting and original. One example of a popular subject is calculus.Topics from various other areas: There are many different types of mathematics topics that can be used. Each of the different types have their own way of including them in a bigger work. For example, if a student wants to add two numbers then he or she can use a linear equation to prove that the addition works. Some math courses will only allow for certain topics to be used within the subject matter. If your course allows for this then it is strongly recommended that you use the topic instead of writing a different piece.Standard Essay topics: The standard essay usually consists of a thesis statement and a few supporting statements. If the essay is about a particular topic it should contain only information about that topic. It is important that the student does not forget to mention the supporting statements.General Topics: This type of topic is an easy way to use mathematics. For example, if a student wants to write an essay about how much snow there was in Florida and how much it snowed then he or she can do this by writing a short question and answer format. Then he or she should submit the essay for ev aluation. When planning out an essay it is important to include all the different types of math topics. Although there is a tendency for students to write an essay about one particular subject such as algebra, it is still important to include topics such as calculus, mathematical logic, or general math topics. This way a student can incorporate both information into one piece and makes it easier to understand the essay.
